Keith set up a recycling collection scheme in the streets around x-church. City States (16.09.10) used 34,000+ items of selected domestic rubbish and two 10m high towers. Opening night premiered a new piece of contemporary classical music by Jenny Jackson. Foster's concrete re-mix accompanied the installation thereafter. 2009-10
"2012 a new piece begins It might get called Stop, Look, Wait, Listen Start went back through notes sketches ideas books plus collected images mostly from my travels between S and G mostly on the train Lots of stuff but no obvious pattern or theme Wandering and travelling etc Took a trip on the S to G flyer or the G to S to trigger past views senses etc Did left side out and right side back lots of notes and some v. quick sketches Will also do the S to G road trip and see what that throws up But at this point I'm drawn to something based around the train trip the railway corridor etc Whatever it is could be a mix of visual images commentary conversations stories etc along with some plants along the route e.g. in the ex marshalling yard at Woodhouse junction in the woods before Kiverton Bridge station in the middle of a field before the train gets to West Burton P Station. Other things to occur to me or strike me In no order movement layers Gainsborough London Overspill Darnall turn of 19th 20th Century refugees rail crash commuters students local movements"
Sadly Keith died very suddenly at the summit of a long climb on his bike in 2013. He was a founding Slumgothic board member and we all miss his everlasting zest for life
